Today, we drove to Tarragona for a day of sightseeing with Peter and Rosa Pinyol. Tarragona is a beautiful city on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea.
Pastor Pinyol led our team and a group of church members from their church through many historical sights including an old Roman fortress and coliseum. We had a delicious pizza lunch and a quick trip to the beach to see the Mediterranean Sea.
Our final stop in Tarragona was at Iglesia Bautista Bona Nova where we met Pastor Josep Segurado and his wife Sarah. They are both native Spaniards who attended Bible college in the US. Josep actually attended seminary with Dr. Adam Watt. The Segurados have planted a church here in Tarragona. Like any European churches, they have faced many challenges in an area that is not very receptive to the Gospel. They started with a group of 10 in a coffee shop and now have a thriving church of around 50.
We enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship before heading back to Camp Eben-Ezer. We continue to be thankful for the safety the Lord has given us in our travels.
Tomorrow, we will be in the Pinyols’ church in Castelbisbal for the morning and then in another church in Barcelona for the evening. Please pray for us as we minister in these services.
