We safely arrived in Barcelona, Spain! It was a 6.5 hour flight from New York to Amsterdam where we had a short layover before flying to Barcelona. Upon landing, we connected with with Pastor Josh Valcarcel. Josh led us through the heart of Barcelona where we experienced the city life of Spanish culture and architecture. We then settled in at Camp Eben-Ezer in Girona, Spain which will be our “home base” for the next two weeks.

Spanish paella

Saturday, July 6

For lunch, we enjoyed a traditional Spanish paella prepared at camp by a local chef. While adjusting to the time difference, our team met with Josh to finalize details for the Hebron Day Camp program we will have this week (Monday-Thursday). We also drove a short five minutes from camp to see the beautiful medieval town of Besalu.

Praise the Lord for safety and the goodness His great provision the past three days. Fellowshipping internationally with Christians and enjoying the beauty of Spain’s nature and architecture have been highlights of the trip so far. Tomorrow we will attend church and spend the day at Iglesia Valle Hebron.
