Updates from Spain today come from two PCC students on the team! Sunday, July 7 Carolyn Trejo is a sophomore Biblical counseling major from Texas.
    • On our first Sunday of the trip we were able to go church at Iglesia Bíblica Valle De Hebrón in Barcelona, Spain. We spent the day worshipping with the people as we shared hymns and testimonies of God’s work in each of our lives. We were invited to participate in the Lord’s supper. After the service ended, we had a meal as a church. The whole day we were at the church we were welcomed with open arms and just the most genuine hospitality I’ve ever received. The people of the church took us in as if we were their own. It’s a privilege to serve them and to help their ministry.
Monday, July 8 Andrew Truong is a junior biology major from Florida.
    • Today, I woke up early at 6:00am to drive an hour and a half to Iglesia Bíblica Valle De Hebrón for the first day of Day Camp. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by church members who had prepared breakfast. Though I felt unprepared to communicate with the kids, I managed to understand and speak some Spanish. (In Barcelona, the primary languages are Catalan and Spanish).
    • For camp, our PCC missions team split into three groups to work with students by age; I helped with the 10-12 year-olds. Thankfully, we had fluent Spanish speakers on our team. The day was filled with games and teaching English through a Bible verse. After camp, we had a delicious lunch at Pastor Josh’s house, then we stopped by a local mall in Girona. Back at Camp Eben-Ezer, we began to rebuilt a fence (a project the team plans to complete this week), had another great meal, and ended the day with a debrief and preparing for tomorrow. Today was super successful, and I believe we made a great first impression on the kids. It was really fun.
