VBS has been going well thus far, filled with laughter and learning combined. The team has been able to share some basic Bible lessons in English with some translation afterwards, and the children seemed to grasp the important parts of each lesson. Lillian Birx said, “Teaching English to the kids was always exciting, but the excitement on the kid’s faces when they would teach me Spanish was priceless.”
Wednesday evening, we traveled to a church in Olot, where our team sang for the service and Michael Colucci preached with an interpreter. Thursday, we returned to VBS and reviewed the verses and songs that we taught them earlier in the week. On Friday, we finished VBS; said goodbye to anll the kids (there were many tears, smiles, and hugs) and drove through the Pyrenees Mountains to get to Pastor David Price’s church in St. Gaudens, France.
Continue to pray for the safety and strength for our team so that we can finish well here in France before our trip to the airport on Tuesday!
